JOB DESCRIPTION

Our commitment to excellent guest services is what drives us, and we are dedicated to hiring outstanding individuals who share our passion for ensuring our guests have an exceptional experience while staying with us. We are currently looking for a hardworking and motivated individual to join our Guest Relations team. The Overnight Guest Relations Associate assists with guest check-in and check-out, helps maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and general safety of the hotel. He or she works with a minimum of supervision to ensure all assigned guests rooms are maintained in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition by performing various tasks using the necessary equipment and supplies. In addition, he or she may help clean the common areas of the hotel (corridors, elevators, guest areas, service areas, restrooms, and linen closets, etc.).The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and at least one year of housekeeping/custodial experience that includes knowledge of basic cleaning supplies and equipment. He or she must have the physical ability to perform all aspects of this job (lifting, standing, bending, etc.), must be reliable and trustworthy, and must pay attention to detail and take pride in his or her work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists with guest check-in and check-out

  • Cleans rooms as assigned, including dusting, polishing, vacuuming, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, etc.

  • Replenishes supplies for each room, including clean towels, tissue, soap, water glasses, etc.

  • Maintains clean, organized work areas and securely stores equipment and supplies

  • Completes any reports or logs

  • Reports equipment malfunctions, injuries, and accidents to the supervisor

  • Responds to all guest and staff needs

  • Attends required team meetings

  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Able to provide exceptional customer service

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • One year of relevant experience preferred

  • Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods preferred

  • Safety and customer service oriented

  • Able to follow spoken and written instructions

  • Able to work without direct supervision

  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, which may include working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
