The Finance Accounting Sr. Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supporting the Citi Treasury Investments (CTI) Reporting and Controls team within Treasury Controllers

• The main functions include the review and production of daily P&L reporting, profit attribution analysis (PAA) reporting, front-to-back (FTB) reconciliations, general ledger reviews and reconciliations.

• Prepare accounting entries and reporting for a broad range of fixed-income securities, repos and foreign currency denominated securities.

• Understanding of various derivative products knowledge of ASC 815 / FAS 133 Hedge Accounting principles

• Supports the management and control data flows to and within Finance applications to ensure integrity and completeness of data, including by preparing and recording financial transactions for legal vehicle and regulatory reporting purposes, updating the general ledger, recording financial transactions, and preparing of consolidated financial statements, in accordance with management reporting requirements, for legal vehicle & regulatory purposes.

• Takes responsibility for the accurate reporting of accounting reconciliations on Citi reporting tools.

• Identify and appropriately highlight / escalate potential issues relating to P&L reporting with stakeholders such as Business Unit Managers (BUM) / Treasury Trading Desk / Operations and Global process owner (GPO) and work with them for resolution.

• Applies in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and advanced knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.

• Demonstrates an advanced understanding of how multiple process collectively integrate to contribute to achieving business goals.

• Persuades and influences others through strong communication and diplomacy skills.

• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of accounting/finance work experience

• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a rapidly changing environment

• Control focused mind-set with strong process improvement capabilities

• Knowledge of derivative and/or securities products a plus

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master's degree preferred
