Citigroup Governance Program & Project Sr Analyst, Credit Risk in Getzville, New York

The GP&P Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role for a driven candidate with proven leadership qualities. The ideal candidate will utilize an in-depth disciplinary knowledge base consisting of Markets and Risk experience, and will contribute to the development of new techniques, governance infrastructures and the improvement of processes and work-flows across various areas and functions. The candidate will also develop into a subject matter and industry expert within a defined area but will gain a wide breadth of knowledge in various other workstreams as well. The role will provide an in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the Markets and Risk organizations and the candidate will assist in coordinating with senior management and contributing to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact around various Risk measurements such as PSE, RWA, EAD and settlement risk as well as Intraday Exposure within the Markets. The position also requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources across the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in implementation management for strategic initiatives, technology portfolio budget management in coordination with Global Functions Technology Services (GFTS), project support, as well as communications and policy management across Finance and Risk.

  • Manage multiple applications, processes, procedures or products, with the Risk and Front Office environments

  • Develop into an analytical or procedural "subject matter expert" representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables.

  • Partner with Technology and Business stakeholders to define and implement complex programs/projects that span internal businesses firm-wide

  • Partner with colleagues and senior management to help shape decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in your area of specialization

  • Regularly assume informal/formal leadership roles across teams

  • Assists in managing the end-to-end program tracking, reporting and implementation processes, communications and policies, as well as resource planning and financial oversight (including staff and technology budgets).

  • Contributes to implementation of common data and data standards, common processes and integrated technology platforms

  • Enables a foundational reporting infrastructure across Citi businesses and global functions by ensuring consistency within Finance and Risk

  • Resolves complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret policies, guidelines or processes.

  • May supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Excellent Microsoft Office skills

  • A working knowledge of Counterparty Credit Risk

  • Broad understanding of Limit Monitoring and Stress Testing

  • Knowledge of various Markets and Securities Services products

  • Ability to analyze and interpret regulatory requirements and define appropriate solutions for implementation

  • Experience in both Agile and Iterative program/project management

  • High level of drive and proven focus on delivery of excellence

  • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills with the ability to work collaboratively across large and small groups

  • Proven leadership qualities with a flexible, creative, and innovative personality that is able to work within tight timelines and high visibility workstreams
