The primary goal of the Risk Management Reporting & Data Analytics Team is to provide complex and comprehensive risk management information in an accurate, timely and reliable manner to risk managers, senior management and the Board of Directors.
The team has access to vast amounts of data across Citi, including outputs from quantitative models, to produce analytics, visualizations, analysis and reports. The team, an integral part of Chief Risk Officer’s broader organization, interacts with Finance, Quantitative Modeling, Technology, Business Units (such as Capital Markets, Consumer Credit Cards), Audit, and other areas across the firm.
The Corporate Risk Reporting team prepares and analyzes data related to the various risk metrics to inform risk management and capital adequacy assessments while driving the implementation of long-term strategic risk monitoring framework.
The Risk Reporting Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role. In this role, you will be tasked with leading, controlling and designing the production of various risk metrics; applying in-depth disciplinary knowledge and analysis to obtain actionable insights to improve risk management of the firm. The role requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate complex and dynamic material from multiple sources.
Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.
Prepares, designs and controls regular and time-sensitive analytics, visualizations and reports to the risk managers, senior management, and regulators, with close collaboration with risk managers in the area of expertise.
Centrally acquire all data related to a specific risk management area (market risk, wholesale and retail credit risk, treasury risk, operational risk and enterprise risk) while ensuring data quality, completeness and consistency.
Develop Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in specific risk management area, including risk metrics, risk governance, as well as related data and technology infrastructure. Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
Leverage risk and technical expertise to increase the information value of the content with actionable insights for management.
Drive process of continuous improvements to enhance the efficiency of the production process, while ensuring reporting processes are well controlled and documented.
Maintains the input or data quality of risk management systems to ensure accurate reporting.
Partners with Risk Systems and Technology teams to jointly design strategic automated solutions and ensure complete, correct, and timely reporting.
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
Ability to manage teams.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Assists in centrally acquiring all data related to Risk and Finance management and regulatory reporting processes while ensuring data quality, completeness and consistency across the organization.
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
4-8 years relevant experience
Clear and concise communication (verbal, written, and visual) and effective relational skills.
Strong quantitative/analytical skills
Knowledge of an interests in finance, markets, risk management and economics is desired
FRM and/or CFA is a plus
Proficient in MS Office suite. Experience with Tableau, PowerBI or other visualization programs is desired. Experience with R, Python, SQL, SAS, Cognos Analytics, or other programs is a plus.
Project Management experience is a plus. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Bachelors degree, Master's degree preferred
Masters degree in science, engineering, finance, economics, data science, or business analytics is a plus
Candidates with demonstrated excellence in non-analytical areas of study will be considered as well
