The Research Product Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.


  • Must exhibit a good understanding of systems: its procedures and concepts and basic knowledge of related technical areas to maintain, identify and define enhancements to existing applications and their operating environments.

  • Manage projects and enhancements involving many integrated systems including CRM, a client relationship management platform with Outlook plugins; Entitlements Hub, a bespoke client entitlement platform; Subscription Center, a publication subscription tool; and CIEvents, an event management platform.

  • Requires sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information. Has direct impact on the team and closely related teams by ensuring the quality of the tasks/services/information provided by self and others.

  • Manage stakeholder expectations as a main point of contact for the duration of all projects. Provide detailed communication documentation on each assigned project to track work requested, work approved, and timeline expectations. Present updates to senior management on a monthly basis on all assigned projects.

  • Collaborates with various teams, including but not limited to, the Development Team to vet system logic changes and updates, the Research Connect Team to communicate all new user-facing changes and enhancements and the Research Access Team to troubleshoot and fix system pain points, answer questions and advertise new enhancements that affect the team. Ensures administration requests are prioritized to enable more efficient and streamlined daily operations.

  • Create and manage entitlements tied to users and publications while identifying and protecting correct entitlement rules to manage user access, especially for restricted documents. Analyzes existing system logic and uses evaluative judgment to make recommendations and implement enhancements or fixes.

  • Responsible for initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production, making recommendations of solutions and improvements. Responsibilities may also include quality assurance testing.

  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned.Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


  • 5-7 years of experience in Research Operations/Distribution and/or Technology role

  • Proven project management, program coordination and related experience working with both business and technology stakeholders.

  • Should exhibit good interpersonal and communication skills, including intellectual curiosity and integrity, strong positive attitude and team spirit, desire to learn and grow, highly organized, reliable, proactive, flexible and results-oriented.

  • Should be a strong problem solver, with an attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

  • Should be able to quickly understand abstract problems in order to analyze and troubleshoot accordingly.

  • Should be proficient in MS office suite of applications including MS Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Should be proficient in JIRA.


  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
