Scope and Purpose:

Provides oversight of all seasonal holiday programs and services for youth and families within the service area of the Gloversville Corps.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Angel Tree Program (Childrens toy collection and distribution)

  • Warm the Children (Childrens winter clothing drive and distribution)

  • Holiday services intake including data entry of families and children

  • Coordinate Volunteer and volunteer groups as needed for the packing and distribution of gifts and goods

  • Retrieve donations as needed from various community partners through consistent communication

  • Assist Corps Officer with all Salvation Army Christmas Children's programs and services

  • Organize and facilitate proper storage of seasonal supplies and equipment at programs end

  • Ensure Corps Community Center is clean and properly reset for non-holiday operations

Qualifications

SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS.

  • Must have a valid drivers liscense that meets The Salvation Army insurance requirements

  • Must be organized, able to work well with others, and highly motivated to serve the youth within the loca community
