The safety and security of our guests is our top priority at LEGOLAND New York. Our Public Safety team offers many roles including EMT's / First Aid and Park Rangers. EMT candidates must hold a license or equivalent to join our First Aid Staff. Park Ranges patrol the park while interacting with guests to ensure a safe environment at all times. Park Ranges may be stationed at entrances, help reunite lost family members, respond to emergencies, and assist our First Aid Staff. Join our Public Safety team and make an AWESOME difference!

Role Description

Park Ranger/EMT will perform duties associated with providing emergency medical care to the sick and injured in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies. This position involves interpretation and communication of complex regulations, protected medical data, terminology and working outside in inclement weather. We will be looking for Full-Time, Part-Time and Per-Diem roles with hours of operations for this role falling between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM.

  • Provide basic clinical life support and emergency care services to park guests and Model Citizens.

  • Provide examination and screening of patients consistent with applicable laws, regulations, Company policies and Medical Director Protocols.

  • Lift and place patients on stretcher, restrain patient appropriately, lift and move patient to stretcher, lift and move loaded stretcher into ambulance.

  • Drive medical cart to and from emergency and non-emergency scenes in a manner appropriate to patient condition, at all times considering due regard for the safety of self and others.

  • Coordinate patient care, between inter-agency (i.e. Fire, EMS, and Police) personnel and other emergency personnel.

  • Maintain appropriate inventories of health services supplies.

  • Complete all reports, including patient care records, Workers Compensation paperwork; legibly, accurately on a timely basis and submit activity and injury reports as required.

  • Assist with facility inspections, safety audits and other duties as assigned.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, trainings and reviewing professional publications.

  • Perform all duties in a safe, courteous, confidential, and professional manner, always considering the well-being of the patient.

  • Strictly conforms to all safety rules and regulations, assist with ride evacuations, and assist security team when necessary.

  • Assist with security foot patrols during park operating hours.
