About the Role
Pay rate starting at: $21.00 per hour
The safety and security of our guests is our top priority at LEGOLAND New York. Our Public Safety team offers many roles including EMT's and Park Rangers. EMT candidates must hold a current NYS EMT license to join our First Aid Staff. Join our Public Safety team and make an AWESOME difference!
Role Description
EMTs will perform duties associated with providing emergency medical care to the sick and injured in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and Company policies. This position involves the interpretation and communication of complex regulations, protected medical data, terminology and working outside in inclement weather. We will be looking for all roles with hours of operations for this position falling between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
Provide basic clinical life support and emergency care services to park guests and Model Citizens.
Perform examination and screening of patients consistent with applicable laws, regulations, company policies and Medical Director Protocols.
Lift and place patients on a stretcher, restrain patient appropriately, move patient to stretcher and move loaded stretcher into an ambulance.
Drive the medical cart to and from emergency and non-emergency scenes in a manner appropriate to patient condition at all times while considering the safety of self and others.
Coordinate patient care between inter-agency (i.e. Fire, EMS, and Police) personnel and other emergency personnel.
Maintain appropriate inventories of health services supplies.
Complete all reports including patient care records, Workers Compensation paperwork and submit activity and injury reports as required.
Assist with facility inspections, safety audits and other duties as assigned.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and trainings, and reviewing professional publications.
Perform all duties in a safe, courteous, confidential, and professional manner, always considering the well-being of the patient.
Strictly conforms to all safety rules and regulations - may assist with ride evacuations and security team when necessary.
Perform mobile patrols during park operating hours.
