Description

This Warehouse Assistant role is based in Great Neck, New York and is short-term temporary-to-full-time opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Handling the analysis of data, development of reports, proofreading and editing of documents, and preparation of presentations

  • Creating written records of meetings and maintaining task and progress records

  • Seeking additional information to complete documents as necessary

-Communicate with clients on preliminary order information.

-Liffiting packages to and from departments (No more than 20 pounds)

-Working closely with the shipping department to ensure parts are sent out on time.

Requirements

  • 1 year of business/office experience at minimum

  • Understanding of database and file management

  • Foundational knowledge in Log Shipping

  • Earlier work involving Order Picking

  • Proven knowledge of Shipping Functions

  • General familiarity with numeric data entry

  • Warehouse Duties experience

  • Wide ranging experience with Packaging Materials

  • Warehouse Inventory experience

  • Deep understanding of Equipment Shipping

  • Practical knowledge of Packing Slip

  • Experience with shipping & receiving

  • Well-founded grasp of data entry

  • Quality experience with Packaging Equipment

  • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

  • High school diploma or its equivalent required; a BA/BS degree in business, communications, or related field is highly preferred

  • Great attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical

    • Past experience with the Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
