We offer a leading line of vegetable seed for growers in the United States and Eastern Canada. _ PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT_ Responsible for supervising the Northern Farm Seed Sales Representatives and developing sales strategies. _ SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP_ Supervises, leads and develops Sales Representatives. _ ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS_ Oversees pricing strategies for the Farm Seed Sales Representatives within designated territory. Develops and distributes product sales sheets and special price lists for the Sales Representatives. Participates in the development and planning of sales and product strategies. Maintains and services accounts that are designated to the Sales Managers’ individual account, as well as providing guidance for the teams accounts. Assist in sales calls as well as resolving customer satisfaction issues. _ OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS_ Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Performs all other duties as assigned. _ REQUIREMENTS_ Normally requires a Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, marketing or other business related discipline, and at least 5 years of sales/marketing/management experience, or the equivalent thereof, to demonstrate leadership with the ability to generate profitable sales. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. Must be able to travel independently and overnight as needed. Must be able to work extended hours beyond those considered “normal” to meet seasonal demands. Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
