Overview

The Industrial Engineering Intern supports all operations and continuous improvement activities in the facility. With guidance from Management, the intern will analyze the production process, complete Lean projects, support data analysis and drive data-driven improvement.
Responsibilities

Supports with process improvements and 6S activities
Assists with processing issues, corrective actions, and root cause investigations.
Works with cross-functional teams to support data-driven problem-solving activities
Streamlining of production processes
Evaluate Ergonomics of processes in the business
Leverages best practices from CAES Lean Principles
Communicates and works effectively with peers, management, using verbal, written, and presentations skills
This position does require you to work on site at our Hauppauge, NY facility
Qualifications

Minimum:
Currently enrolled in and working toward a Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
Must be returning to school in the Fall of 2023
High school diploma
Minimum GPA of 3.0
This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a US person under US export laws or, eligible for approval for a U.S. Government export license. A US Person includes a US citizen, lawful Permanent Resident, refugee or asylee.
Preferred:
1-2 years of applicable experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office products - Excel, Word, Visio, Power Point, Project
Salary Range: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour.
Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate
