Position Purpose and Objectives:Under the direction and guidance of the V.P. of Sheetfed & Prepress, the Sheetfed Operator - 1st shift is responsible for running the press, handling inks variations, and loading materials efficiently with good quality.This position requires individuals to be able to work within various degrees of noise, temperature, and air quality. Flexibility and patience are required. Must be able to work under stressful conditions. Sitting, standing, pushing and/or/pulling, lifting, and carrying (up to 30 pounds), reaching, squatting, climbing stairs, and kneeling may be required. Reasonable accommodations. The work environment is usually noisy and may be performed while exposed to chemicals and odors commonly associated with printing. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Must be available to work a flexible schedule, which includes days, nights, overnights, and weekendsSet up, adjust, operate, and maintain a gravure press or multi-color offset press to print single-color, two-color, and/or multi-color work.Review job order specifications to determine the press setup according to the imposition of the run (sheet wise or work and turn)Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, examine plates/cylinders for imperfections and checks for correct positioning of images, prepping blankets, adjusting tension and register etc.Make necessary color corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specificationsClean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required.Performs periodic maintenanceOther duties as assignedApplicant chosen may be eligible for benefits package and other incentives.

Minimum Salary: 24.00 Maximum Salary: 28.00 Salary Unit: Hourly
