Position Purpose and Objectives: Under the direction of the Shipping Manager, the Seasonal Shipping Packer is responsible for fulfilling orders by arranging inventory and preparing for shipment. The Packer would need to interpret order invoices to determine which items are to be shipped out along with performing quality control assessments and stacking items safely and securely in the right packaging.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Weighing packages and labeling it appropriately. Inspect packages to ensure it is not damaged. Inspect shipment containers/boxes to ensure it meets shipping regulations. Assemble daily orders by location and/or other shipping categories. Keep logs or records of packages including delivery notes, invoices, etc. Fill out packing and order forms with the relevant shipping information. Seal and label appropriately. Must keep area organized and clean along with shipping containers/boxes and supplies. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: High School diploma or equivalent work experience Strong organizational, and time management skills Good communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to quickly identify production problems and ability to identify quality problems Energetic, dependable and a reliable team player Ability to follow directions, safety standards Willing to work overtime as required, occasionally on short notice Ability to tolerate being exposed to loud noises and moving machinery
