Job Summary
Perform a variety of electrical and/or mechanical maintenance duties to include, but not limited to set-up, build, repair and support of highly specialized or process-type machines.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities

  • Troubleshoots problems and takes corrective action by recommending and/or performing all types of maintenance to include but not limited to, diagnosing and repairing specific equipment.
  • Maintains electrical, mechanical and pneumatic control systems.
  • Interprets and applies written specifications, schematic drawings, parts lists, prints and sketches to installation, maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Maintains documentation according to Federal and Internal procedures.
  • May perform other duties as directed, including, but not limited to: plumbing, electronic, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning repairs, maintenance, installation or troubleshooting.
  • As business needs dictate, works extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory overtime.


Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Aptitude, knowledge and/or experience with the basics of one or more skilled trades, such as: electrician, machinist or pipefitter.
  • Familiarity with shop-trade terminology and materials used; general knowledge of diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to use tools and properly test equipment.
  • PC proficiency.
  • Basic knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs).
  • Ability to utilize lean principles and concepts to identify and implement process improvement projects.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance on various types of equipment.
  • Ability to utilize Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to prioritize daily workload and track preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations.
  • Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and Regulatory requirements.
  • Exhibits excellent communication skills verbal, written, and comprehension of the English language.
  • Must be hands-on oriented and possess ones own tools.
  • Willing to learn and stay current on changes in technology.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years in electrical/mechanical field required or completion of an apprenticeship programs, military program or trade school with 2 years experience.

Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $21 and $26 and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
