Arc Herkimer Government Sales Director in Herkimer, New York

Arc Herkimer is looking for seasoned and experienced Government Sales Director to provide leadership, management, and accelerate growth for all phases of our New York State and federal accounts via NYSID Preferred Source Contract and the Ability One Program!  The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and sales expertise that will make a substantial impact on Arc Herkimer.

Responsibilities include: 

Identify opportunities for business development with existing state and federal customers
Maintain all established customer accounts through personal visits and telephone contacts on a regular schedule to ensure long term partnerships
Work with the Vice President of Industrial Operations researching new state and federal contract leads and markets for Herkimer Industries products and services
Develop annual business plan in conjunction with the Vice President of Industrial Operations, which details activities to follow during fiscal year with a focus on meeting or exceeding sales quota
Produce and maintain all relevant records of activities, results, and contacts which are necessary to successful sales and agreed upon with Vice President of Industrial Operations
Position requirements: 

Bachelor’s Degree 
Five (5) years of experience in marketing and sales management
Demonstrated experience in new account development preferred
Must be able to work flexible hours and travel within and outside of New York State
