Summary: Facilities Engineer Intern

onsemi is seeking self-driven and motivated Engineering students to join the onsemi manufacturing site located in East Fishkill, NY for a Summer 2024 Internship. At onsemi , we drive technology breakthroughs that deliver on the promise of a sustainable future.

As a Facilities Engineer you will:

Be responsible for providing Chemical, Environmental or Operational engineering support for various chemically intensive systems at a high volume semiconductor fabrication plant.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Developing and driving world-class programs for the safe, efficient and low-cost Facilities water systems, chemical and/or mechanical engineering principles, including chemical piping, neutralization, filtration, pumps, valves, flow calculations, capacity, PLC(programmable logic controllers), and networking.

• Working closely with the Environmental Operations Team to monitor, control, operate and optimize the Fab 10 Facilities Operations emissions chemical and abatement systems that undergo chemical analytical testing of various chemical and waste handling systems. Familiar with WWTP, HFP & WWR.

• Study & hardening of DI & UPW systems to include: Feed water, Pretreatment, Make-up, Polishing & POU quality performance studies.

• Improve PM / CM for UPW system, develop Predictive Maintenance, tracking consumables and operating costs.

• Working closely with regulatory engineering to ensure compliance with all regulations and uninterrupted service to Manufacturing.

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
