Summary: Integration Engineer Intern

onsemi is seeking self-driven and motivated Engineering students to join the onsemi manufacturing site located in East Fishkill, NY for a Summer 2024 Internship. At onsemi, we drive technology breakthroughs that deliver on the promise of a sustainable future.

As a Integration Engineer you will:

Play a central role in semiconductor fab discrete device optimization and in product and business engagement. The role includes overseeing product yield trends, responding to and diagnosing issues as they arise, and working with a variety of fab engineers to understand and resolve issues or to improve yields and costs.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Device: Demonstrate understanding of discrete device operation including structural elements (dimensions, doping, etc) and process steps (anneals, etch, etc) involved with influencing the device electrical behavior.

· Signal management: Respond to yield changes or drifts in device behavior by engaging other fab engineering staff and ensuring issue containment.

· Yield improvement: Ranking top yield loss signatures and coordinating understanding and resolution of root causes.

· Cpk improvement: analyze parametric data variability causes and drive improvement.

· Product engineer engagement: Understand issues arising from module or discrete data feed and coordinate responses within the fab.

• Fab ramp: engaging with tool owners and confirming tool matching to enable production ramp, to maintain yield and Cpk within the ramp.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Chemical or Electrical Engineering.

• Ability to work a full 12 weeks during the summer.
