Summary: Probe Engineer Intern

onsemi is seeking self-driven and motivated Engineering students to join the Manufacturing site located in East Fishkill, NY for a Summer 2024 Internship. At onsemi , we drive technology breakthroughs that deliver on the promise of a sustainable future.

As a Probe Engineer Intern you will:

Be responsible for Probe equipment control, efficiency, capability, and safety for manufacturing. They control equipment for productivity / quality with tester & prober. They make plans for cost reduction, solving a chronic equipment problem, optimizing tool condition and supporting new process.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Equipment sustaining

• Set-up & sustain tester-prober cells

• Preventive maintenance Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly / Yearly

• Find potential problem in equipment and solve it.

• Troubleshooting

• Equipment improvement

• Improve the tester’s condition for best quality / cost reduction activity.

• Control uniformity by SPC and Exensio / Improve OEE by tool optimization

• Manage a group of products and/or process technologies that are released to production. This includes interfacing with product, process, test, design and reliability engineering to release new products to production and to solve problems while in production.

• Work with technology development engineers on transfers of process technologies and the start up of new process technologies at the Wafer Fab site in which they work. Defines DOE’s to characterize the process windows required to meet electrical specifications and to improve yield/reduce scrap in the Wafer Fab and Probe operations.

• When appropriate, participates in resolving issues in Assembly and Final Test. Supports cost reduction efforts and other manufacturing improvements.
