Vail Resorts Competition Services Attendant - Winter Seasonal in Hunter, New York

As of Nov. 15, 2021, Vail Resorts will be requiring all employees across North America to be vaccinated for COVID-19 .

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Execute daily operations by opening, running and closing of race venues, as per schedule.

  • Perform daily set-up and maintenance of race and training courses, and ensure operational readiness of event venues and facilities.

  • Work with other staff and departments to promote a positive guest experience.

  • Assist with inventory management of on hill equipment, banners, tents and signage

  • Communication, via radio or phone, with Ski Patrol to inform them of injuries.

  • Event venue construction - installing fences, tents, banners, cabling, etc.

  • Fence/barrier maintenance and trash/snow removal.

  • Assist Comp Services Manager and Marketing teams with set up of signage around resort and on race venues.

  • Maintain race facilities to ensure the safety of all guests and staff.

  • Assist mtn operations team filling front-line employee positions as necessary, especially during non-peak periods

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to, and sometimes more than, 50lbs - required.

  • Ability to stand outside in all weather conditions, for 8+ hours per day - required.

  • Ability to ski outside in all weather conditions, for 8+ hours per day - required.

  • Valid U.S. Driver's license - required.

  • Ability to work with power tools (cordless drills, etc.) - required.

  • High school diploma - required.

  • Racecourse operations - preferred.

  • Valid U.S. Driver's License, USSA official’s license - preferred.

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English - required. Intermediate or higher skiing ability - required.

  • Racing Background - preferred

  • Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays - required.

  • Ability to operate a snowmobile (need a valid driver's license) - preferred.
