Position Summary :
This position will focus primarily on customer health across all channels of business and CRM campaign reporting. Additional analytics and reporting might include direct mail performance and digital media attribution. We are looking for someone willing to “roll-up-their-sleeves,” who thrives in detail, is curious to identify and solve problems, and who can translate complex data to succinct, meaningful insights and recommendations. You should have direct, hands-on experience mining and validating data to answer questions about customer behavior for internal stakeholders.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities :
Define key reports, dashboards, and analytics that will drive the retail business forward, through partnering with the CRM team, CRM and database vendor, loyalty vendor, retail store teams, wholesale marketing team, and ecommerce team.
Build reports, analyses, dashboards and analytic models for business users across all marketing channels to support the business.
Leverage SQL experience to write and test code to extract data from our Merkle CRM customer database, including designing any necessary custom tables, views, functions, and stored procedures.
Own customer Business Intelligence (BI) progression strategy, taking into consideration existing reports used by each team and their necessary evolution.
Facilitate self-service reporting for internal users, utilizing current reporting tools, and arrange and train business teams others on the marketing team or business teams). When appropriate, work to incorporate new tools and reports.
Coordinate data sourcing across ecommerce, digital, retail, and wholesale platforms (internal and external) to enable reporting.
Coordinate customer behavior analysis with the CRM team, CRM vendor and loyalty vendor, and email service provider, to drive strategy.
Create and send reports to business leaders on recurring basis, performing ad hoc analysis, partnering with CRM Manager on database design, feed issues and database documentation
Perform other duties as requested
Required SkillsRequired Experience
3-5 years in a direct-to-consumer CRM or Analytics marketing role in Retail and Ecommerce environment
Expert SQL Developer writing optimized SQL queries
The successful candidate will be an effective analytics leader with strong business intelligence, and data skills, and a proven track record of success in delivering customer insights to drive marketing strategy
Ability to work through ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Retail business and marketing knowledge and understanding of typical KPIs and database constructs
An understanding of Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse projects, customer database structures
Experience with modern dash boarding and data visualization tools (such as Tableau) or other reporting tools
Outstanding functional and technical communication skills
Highly comfortable analyzing data and making it digestible to non-technical teams
Comfortable working in CRM tools and analytics environments
Self-motivated, results-oriented, strategic thinker
Strong time management and prioritization skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with heavy focus and expertise in Excel and Powerpoint.
Data quality methodology and data modeling skills a plus
Knowledge of Tableau a plus
Knowledge of CRM, DMP, R, or SQL a plus
Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or other related field preferred.
