    This position is based at our Photo Studio in Irvington, NY, with some flexibility for remote days

Position Summary:

The Digital Tech-Digital Asset Manager will be part of the Creative Operations team, reporting to the Associate Director of Creative Operations. The team is responsible for efficient and effective production workflows and this role will be responsible for all photography from pre-production through post-production. The Digital Tech/ Digital Asset Manager will work with our photo producers, art director, styling team and external photography partners to prepare our studio space for shoots, Digital tech/photo assist on internal photography sets, ensure final selects are prepped and sent to post-production and work with our Retoucher and External studio partner to archive all final retouched images. This role requires someone with strong organizational and project management skills as well as technical knowledge of photography and should be someone interested in creative workflow optimization.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Senior Producer with maintenance and organization of studio space and equipment, including ordering of supplies and rentals for upcoming shoots

  • Support the Creative Team with prepping and breaking down photography sets

  • Assist photographers in problem-solving issues with the camera, computer, software programs, and lighting power packs/strobes

  • Serve as a digital tech on all sets for Brand Creative overseeing Capture One on-set; checking for color consistency and balance, exposure, curves. proper ISO, Camera format, ICC profile according to standards

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining workflow to ensure photos are being ingested into our production tool (Flo) properly

  • Responsible for working with Art Directors to make sure all creative images are selected in Flo, properly ingested into the DAM and final selects passed on to design and retouching

  • Review and maintain quality control for all file naming and metadata to assure accuracy and consistency across asset categories

  • Serve as the liaison between the retouching team and the on-set team for facilitating image edits, missing images and reshoots

  • Responsible for software updates, and monthly monitor calibrations of all image-capturing computers

  • Bring existing assets up to current standards, including reviewing access levels, duplicates, and metadata cleanup

  • Ongoing digital asset lifecycle maintenance such as ingestion, organization, archiving and asset expiration

  • Manage rights-management details (internal use only, stock-licensing agreements, talent usage, etc)

  • Support internal teams by ensuring the proper flow of imagery from shoot to select to retouching and retouched assets to the DAM

  • Administer and manage internal user account creation, permissions, and perform routine user audits

  • Develop training materials for our internal partners, train and onboard new users to the DAM system and assist with questions from existing users

  • Monitor the needs of the organization, the DAM system usage and capabilities to ensure that it continually meets our evolving needs

  • Find suggest and implement efficiencies and improvements in workflows and processes

  • Keep informed of the latest Digital Asset Management technology trends and innovation

Required SkillsRequired Experience


  • BFA in Photography, or Arts related field

Required Experience:

  • 2-3 years of on-set experience as a Photo Assistant or Digital Tech, preferably in fashion or related field

  • Strong understanding of digital asset management software and best practices

  • Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite and Capture One

  • Someone focused on clear and kind communication 

  • Process driven and detail focused 

  • Able to own all aspects of a project from concept to implementation 

  • Excellent visual, writing, and verbal communication skills 

  • A calm temperament and ability to adapt quickly to new processes 

  • A collaborative team player
