The VP, IT will be responsible for all the technical aspects of Eileen Fishers Wholesale, E-Commerce and Retail Stores business as well as Corporate Applications, Business Intelligence, Infrastructure, and Helpdesk. This role will partner with the leaders of all business units to deliver viable solutions and develop a long-term IT Strategy for their business needs.
Eileen Fisher is focused on Direct to Customer channels (DTC) to drive growth and this role should have experience with building seamless Omnichannel operations that support the DTC business.
Partner with senior leadership and functional business leaders in developing the strategic direction and capabilities critical for success, and implement the appropriate governance, prioritization and an effective sponsorship of IT initiatives.
Partner with C-suite leaders to strengthen and transform our business through our strategic objectives, company purpose and culture.
Develop strong partnerships with business leaders. Position technology team as a value-added partner to the business with emphasis placed on getting the right outcome for the business.
Develop technology strategies to deliver enterprise-wide programs focused on driving transformational change and innovation while balancing business needs, infrastructure and technology needs.
Define technology roadmaps and manage day-to-day IT operations and execution of key initiatives in support of the strategic plan; implement appropriate business continuity and monitoring tools for business-critical applications.
Seek and evaluate emerging technologies and educate business leaders on potential for new technologies to deliver ROI by enabling business innovation, efficiency and competitive advantage.
Strong, hands-on team leader who will attract, retain and mentor a high performing collaborative IT organization. Has an ongoing process to evaluate skill sets and potential against needs and reskill or evolve organization as necessary aligned with changes in technology and evolution of strategy.
Demonstrate management style that encourages mentorship, teamwork, participation, communication, and service orientation. Ability to empower their team to succeed, assist in removing roadblocks and coach / teach their team to high levels of performance.
Implement a comprehensive resource management structure that clearly identifies the quantity, quality, and capabilities of resources available across the company and its partners for technology work.
Create an environment of accountability.
Enhance the use of existing technologies and drive scalability and stability. Drive and sustain operational excellence and IT service levels.
Develop and manage operating and capital budgets for the IT department.
Negotiate vendor contracts/manage key strategic vendor relationships.
10+ years’ experience working in the Consumer products Industry in a Technology role
Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience (Director or above)
Strong relationship manager who has successfully collaborated with business leaders on a variety of strategic business initiatives
Demonstrated excellence in analytical, presentation, and communication skills, as well as influencing broad technical discussions and decisions, across different audiences and seniority levels
Strong proficiency with Omnichannel ecommerce, retail and marketing technology landscape and trends. Familiarity with digital advertising ecosystem
Knowledge of data-driven, digital marketing, personalization and consumer analytics
Experience in implementing and or managing ECOM, POS, OMS, CRM, MDM, ERP, PLM & BI systems
Awareness of Security and PCI concepts
Use of innovative problem solving and critical thinking approaches to proactively solve a broad range of problems across technologies
Bachelor’s degree in Technology/Engineering/Business required
Oversees IT organization. Direct reports include: Senior Director, DTC Applications, Director, Corporate Applications, Director, Technical Services & Operations
