The *Assistant Manager *performs a variety of duties relating to lounge-style service including greeting and serving the customer, cold food preparation, stocking counters and steam tables, and maintaining sanitation standards. Responsible customer service is a major function of this position.
Training the staff on a daily and weekly basis. Ensuring that the lounge is operating appropriately.
This is a seven-day operation; candidates must be available to work weekends and holidays when needed.
Supervises the setup of the lounge as per established specifications. Ensures front-line team has appropriately stocked all guest interfacing sections of lounge including first class, pre-flight dining restaurant, dessert station, bar, coffee station etc.
Motivates and leads front-line team to deliver outstanding guest experiences within a luxury food service setting.
Reviews guest scores with team on a regular basis providing recognition and development as needed.
Communicates closely with supervisors to ensure smooth lounge operations.
Leads team by example by proactively engaging with guests during lounge peak hours.
Monitors time/temperature standards and reviews FOH (front of house) HACCP logs.
Partners with Chef and GM to provide daily and weekly trainings to team.
Ensures front line team’s safety, menu and allergen knowledge meets established standards.
Partners with Chef and GM to ensure that FLIK food philosophy is actively incorporated in specialty food and beverage offering.
Manages FOH inventory on a daily and weekly basis and assist GM in ordering.
Assists GM in scheduling, payroll, labor relations, hiring as needed.
College degree preferred
Two to four years fine dining restaurant management experience
Flexibility with schedule -- hours will include evenings and weekends
Comprehensive food and wine knowledge.
Requires operations management experience with purchasing knowledge
Excellent communication and computer skills are needed, including knowledge of MS Office products
ServSafe Certified preferred
