Details:
QUALIFICATIONS:
To provide custodial andmaintenance services to maintain physical plant standards. Responsible for maintenance throughout the facility and upkeep of common areas, utilities, equipment, fixtures, and materials for the facility and grounds. Follow health and safety procedures and perform safety inspections and checklists to ensure the facility and grounds are hazard free. The salary is $40,000/year.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform general and preventative maintenance and repairs under supervision, including painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, changing filters, landscaping, clogged toilets, light bulbs etc.
Daily cleaning of building, office, bathrooms, and common areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and emptying trash.
Inventory control of all maintenance and janitorial supplies, including ordering and receiving supplies.
Seasonal deep cleaning and maintenance of building interior and exterior (i.e. floor waxing, carpet cleaning, pressure wash building).
Ensure that safety and health procedures are followed as directed by the Facilities Manager and/or established policy.
Perform routine inspections and regular upkeep of interior and exterior areas to ensure areas are free of safety hazards, trash, weeds, and other foreign materials.
Assist with moving office and classroom furniture, fixtures, and equipment to support increased staffing changes, relocations, remodels, program expansion, and custodial requirements.
Complete Safety Checklist on a monthly basis.
Attend meetings and training as required or recommended by the supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned.
Respond to on-call custodial/minor maintenance emergencies outside of regularly assigned hours.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
GED or High School Diploma
Must live in Queens, NY
COVID-19 vaccination
At least 1 year of experience as a custodial and/or maintenance worker
Trained and certified in naloxone delivery to treat opioid overdose, or trained within 7 days, post-hire
Obtain within six months of hire:
Supporting Recovery with Medications Addictions Treatment (MAT)
Obtain within thirty days of hire:
Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment
CASAC Canon of Ethics (6 hours)
Confidentiality related to 42CFR (3 Hours)
Mandated reporter (2 hours)
