Job Title: Metro Micro Operator Overview: The Operator is responsible to set up, maintain and operate various pieces of equipment. The ideal candidate is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. Safety Expectations: All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.Responsibilities/Job Duties:•Be able to operate various pieces of Micro Paving equipment•Have the ability and willingness to labor, spread and level construction materials with various hand tools•Work with others to help complete tasks in a timely manner•Ensure quality and consistency of material per mix designRequired Skills/Abilities:•Reliable transportation to and from work•Ability to diagnose and maintain equipment •Self motivated individual with ability to lead and encourage others •Strong work ethic•Physical Organization and time management •Flexibility in hours - overtime and weekend hours may be necessary•Working knowledge of general hand tools and power tools•CDL License a plus•Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted•Consent to a DMV license evaluation•Must have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10 Hour Safety CertificatePhysical Requirements:•Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds•Observe and comply with necessary PPE requirements•Must be able to work in a noisy area with many odors present•Bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squattingOther Preferred Qualities:•Ability to read and understand SDS •Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) •Basic math skillsPosition is considered full time, but seasonal in nature, with anticipated lay-off in the November thru April time-frame. Site specific locations may have varying seasonal requirements that can extend or contract these timeframes.Additional Duties:This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed.
