Financial Services Talent Consultant Supervising Associate
The Talent Consultant Supervising Associate has responsibility for coordinating and facilitating Human Resources (HR) activities. This position works closely with other team members of the Talent Team to implement and affect people programs and processes for a client group. Position may assist in the design and implementation of people program and processes. This position is addresses and resolves employee inquiries on a wide range of HR topics from employee relations to compensation. This position is responsible for escalating more complex issues to senior TalentTeam members as appropriate.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Serves as the first point of contact for client groups. Addresses and many cases resolve requests, concerns and inquiries.
Works closely with the Strategic Talent Consultant and/or Lead/Senior Talent Consultant to understand the business’ talent agenda and executes innovative HR programs in line with the strategy
May assist with or work closely with the Strategic Talent Consulant and/or Lead/Senior Talent Consultant to create, review or provide analysis on workforce planning items, including understanding capability, skills development and pipeline
Handles/resolves employee relations issues that are less complex in nature or occur at more junior levels in the client group
Implements recurring (HR) processes as appropriate (e.g. including but not limited to: performance management, compensation, career development). Make process improvement suggestions and recommendations
Responsible for collecting and analyzing data related to staffing levels, budgets and salary information. Identifies issues and makes suggestions as appropriate.
Identifies and escalates HR concerns and risks as appropriate
May assist in the design and implementation of HR programs and processes for assigned client groups
May participate in projects as needed
May perform some transactional work related to people projects
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
Collect & provide data related to staffing, salary, budgets. May provide a recommendation related to this data.
Alerts HR team members and/or clients of potential risks as appropriate
May modify some project steps to reflect group consensus without prior approval.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Working knowledge of HR law and practices
General knowledge of internal policies and procedures
Ability to multi task, manage multiple constituents and multiple deadlines
Ability to network
Receives general supervision and frequently works on projects with only periodic updates to supervisor.
Seeks guidance on increasingly complex projects or employee issues
- Travel may be required
B achelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years related experience
