Our Financial Services EY EDGE practice is made up of a team of professionals providing dedicated tax technical services to both US and global clients. Your Key Responsibilities

The Manager works with our Global Tax Investing Services (GTIS) team in supporting clients with tax compliance and reporting with respect to international investing. Supports client engagements by participating in day-to-day interactions with team members, providing a quality work product and driving delivery of services to meet deadlines. Serves as a trusted advisor and role model for our people across multiple teams, research international tax law issues, provide advice and assistance to help clients understand risks and potential needs for additional tax investing services.

Responsibilities include

  • Overseeing the receipt and cleansing of client data

  • Approving client reports that were run using our technology and automation

  • Researching third party websites for global withholding tax changes around the world

  • Reviewing tax matrices

  • Verifying tax rates and rules are current in tools feeding our services

  • Finalizing tax alerts

  • Reviewing the taxability of corporate actions and passive foreign company calculations

  • Routine interaction with senior management, i.e., trained, coached and mentored by practice leaders with autonomy increasing with experience and demonstrated competence in performing essential functions of the job

Skills and Attributes for Success

  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to analyze tax issues, determine alternative methods of problem-solving and arrive at recommendations

  • Manage engagements and teams to drive Service Quality across all aspects of delivery. Understand opportunity risk in relation to our Scope of Services

  • Support the acquisition of new clients through participation in business pursuit calls and presentations

  • Develop, document, and gain cross functional alignment on processes to support clients and internal teams

  • Demonstrate deep technical excellence in specific offerings and broaden technical skills across capabilities.

  • Maintain internal network by providing technical assistance to others within EY in area of expertise

  • Solve complex problems and interpret internal or external business issues and recommend solutions

  • Build effective long-term relationships and manage workflow effectively with our clients, understand their unique needs to provide tailored services

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Tax, Law, or Economics

  • 6 to 8 years of relevant work experience including experience analyzing securities to determine the taxability/determinations of multiple tax attributes

  • Ability to effectively own and manage concurrent projects, and prioritize multiple tasks, including multi-location coordination

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations

  • Experience providing leadership (advising and providing direction) to others in financial areas of specialization and coordinate daily work activities or review the work of other teammates

  • Experience mentoring/coaching team members to develop technical and leadership capabilities

  • Strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills

  • Proficient in computer software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • CPA license, EA certification or a licensed Attorney is required or the ability to achieve one of these certifications

  • The salary range for this position is: Denver 83,900-151,000 Stamford 100,700-181,200 Hartford 83,900-151,000 Las Vegas 83,900-151,000
