Tax Services Senior – Private Client Services – Family Office Services, Financial Services Organization – EY EDGE

Our Financial Services EY EDGE practice is made up of a team of professionals providing family office services to US clients. EDGE stands for Exceptional Delivery and Growth Engine because this team operates in a technical environment with deep process and service delivery experience that distinguishes EY in the marketplace.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Analyst in our Family Office Services Practice (which is a part of our EY Private practice), you will review financial statements for high-net-worth individuals and their related family entities, which would include analyzing and reviewing bank/brokerage accounts as well as private equity and hedge fund capital statements. You will be responsible for supporting the Partner, Managing Director, Senior Manager, and Manager levels in fulfilling consulting/coordination services as requested by clients. You will also serve as the first level of review in the accounts payable process where you will review payments prepared by bookkeepers as well as the related general ledger coding. Other duties include coordinating submissions and ensuring payments are remitted timely.

  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Dynamics and QuickBooks

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple commitments

  • Ability to perform under time constraints and meet deadlines; strong sense of urgency

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Understanding of client’s financial situation

  • Awareness of budgets and has the ability to work with managers on keeping within budget

  • Promotes a professional and positive attitude

  • Ownership of work product and client engagement

  • Effectively able to communicate with all levels of the engagement team and client personnel

  • Understanding of key elements of client care and service

  • Detail oriented

  • Finding ways to simplify and improve work processes

  • Recognizing business issues and using alternative solutions to resolve them.

  • Looking for ways to increase efficiency on engagements

  • Seeking to enhance knowledge through technical reading, continuing education, and other means

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

  • At least 2 years of practical accounting experience

  • CPA or eligibility to take the CPA exam
