2 Fulltime H-2A Seasonal Jobs available 3/25/2022-12/1/2022 Performs any combination of the following manual and machine duties involved in planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops on diversified-crop farm, such as broccoli, cabbage, and squash. Use power equipment including but not limited to: tractors, planters, mowers, plows, sprayers, cultivators, high lifts, fork lifts, skid loaders. Stands for long periods, weeding and thinning plants using hoe with no damage to crops. Will stoop, pull weeds, rocks and dirt. Harvests crops using appropriate method, such as picking, pulling, and cutting. Crop harvesting will require 6-12 hour days, cutting with a knife, bending and carrying product, and lifting product into boxes. Duties may include packing and loading harvested products in the fields. Will select and hand harvest product for harvest to be hand placed in wagons and/or bins. Product to be cut as directed. Cleans on and around harvesting equipment and buildings, and assist in preventative maintenance of farm equipment. Will drive tractor to move wagons in field. Work requires standing, bending repetitively, lifting up to 60 lbs up to a height of 5 feet. No smoking and no cell phone use allowed during working hours. Employees are expected to have proper hygiene and follow GAP requirements. Three months experience in commercial conventional farming in the jobs listed is required. Workers referred against this order must have a minimum of three months verifiable experience in performing the tasks posted in this job order. All workers will be provided a designated day of rest each week, which may vary due to weather and crop conditions. Workers may be requested but not required to work on their Sabbath.
