Warming Center Program Assistant Assist with the daily operations of the warming center, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of guests, and maintaining a clean and organized center. The duties include assisting in scheduling staff, enforcing rules and regulations, handling emergencies, and managing inventory. Flexible scheduling is necessary, as this position requires working evenings, weekends, overnights, and some holidays. Must Haves Education and /or experience required: High School or GED minimum, Associate degree (highly preferred). At least two 1 year relevant experience in human services. 2 years with Diverse Populations 2 years Human/Social Services Ability to Lift/Move 50 lbs. Some Essential Duties: 1. Ensure continual staffing when Warming Center is in operation by coordinating schedules of staff when necessary and providing coverage to ensure no gaps in shifts. 2. Ensure that Security staff are upholding their duties by providing a safe environment. 3. Ensure food services are rendered to Warming Center. 4. Work overnight shifts regularly to maintain continual supervision throughout the season. 5. Ensure the Warming Center facility has all necessary supplies including first aid kits, Narcan Kits, food service supplies, cleaning products, reporting forms, etc. 6. Maintain clear and consistent documentation in confidential database in accordance with agency policy and practice. 7. Maintain and update reports on any maintenance and repairs from start to completion. 8. Serve as a driver of agency van to pick up inventory supplies or items when needed for Warming Center this includes safely using agency van as per agency policy. 9. Assist with periodic off-site food drives and other agency initiatives. 10. Work closely with the Case Management staff, other CCOSU (Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster) programs/staff and affiliate agencies. 11. Occasional evening and weekend work assignments as designated by the Regional Supervisor.
12 Hour shifts, 7a-7p, 7p-7a, But very flexible on start/end times as long as it's 12 hours-we will work with their schedule.
