Surfside on the Lake Hotel Sales Coordinator/ Seasonal Front Desk Manager in Lake George, New York

The Sales Coordinator/ Front Desk Manager Hybrid position is a newer position for the property. As the resort grows in popularity and grows its group sales, there is a new demand for an assistant to the Director of Sales and Marketing. This is a full-time year round role. The person best suited for the position is someone who is organized, can multitask and has an open schedule (including weekends, nights, and holidays). In addition, the best candidate will have hotel sales experience and the ability to deliver excellent customer service. Furthermore, the best candidate will have patience and can work under pressure well, especially during events such as weddings and meetings.

Job Duties:

Front Desk:
-Implementing and enforcing front desk procedures/ objectives
-Managing shift scheduling and training new staff
-Make sure front desk and lobby are cleaned and up to date
-Managing supply inventory and hotel shop inventory
-Supervising staff and front desk activities and filling in when needed
-Tending to guest complaints and questions while providing great customer service
-Assigning rooms and optimizing available rooms
-Manage OTA reservations
-Spearheading room amenities
-Delegating requests to the right departments such as housekeeping or maintenance
-Make sure all reports are completed and cash drawers are maintained
-Troubleshoot emergencies
-Administrative duties (answering phones, making reservations, guest emails, etc.)
-Other duties as assigned

Sales/ Marketing:
-Answer calls and respond to inquiries related to group sales
-Serve as a point of contact for clients and communicate by phone or email
-Work with the DOS of projects
-Attend and coordinate events such as weddings, meetings, etc.
-Prepares sales documents
-Collect rooming lists, food choices, etc.
-Help arrange and coordinate meetings with clients and potential clients
-Meet with clients and DOS
-Help send out mobile reviews to satisfied guests
-Assist with review responses
-Site tours
-Build social media posts and assist the DOS with communications and promotions
-Other duties as assigned by the DOS

Requirements:
-Hotel Sales experience
-Hotel management experience
-Event planning experience
-Social media marketing experience
-Open availability (nights, weekdays, weekends, holidays, etc.)
-Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Compensation:
-Full-time, Year-round
-Hourly + commission (group food sales)
-1 Week Paid Vacation
