Lancaster. Childrens' Kastle Learning Center. Assistant Director.

The Assistant Director has overall responsibility for operation of the Center in the absence of the Director and ensures the Center is operated in accordance with company and state licensing standards and operating procedures to provide an educational, caring, and safe environment to promote positive image of the center in the community, and to achieve profitability for the company

*Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
*One year experience as a head teacher or childcare program supervisor
*Knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations
*Knowledgeable of Christian beliefs and teachings. Comfortable with incorporating Christian Biblical themes
*Certified in CPR/First Aid
*Matt certification a plus
*ProCare a plus
*Microsoft Office


*Maximize revenue by ensuring growth of Center's clientele
*Ensure ARs are 3% or less
*Meet budget objectives
*Ensure billing is accurately processed, and tuition errors are less than 2 per month.
*Audit accounts and cross reference with attendance
*Ensure timely Tuition Express & bank deposits
*Contain payroll costs

*Balance respect of customers' needs and Center requirements
*Excellent communication with parents
*Ensure parent teacher conferences are scheduled
*Ensure parents are given ample opportunities to engage with program and other families
*Offer Parent Education to families a minimum of 2-3 times a year

*Maintain good business relations with suppliers and collaborators, asking for discounts when appropriate
*Maintain good relations with licensing, local officials, school districts, and professional associations
*Regular community outreach to build relationships

*Enforce Center's policies and procedures
*Ensure Assistant Director's report & budget, marketing, and daily CRM inquiries/follow-ups and calls completed appropriately
*Plan and organize staff meetings if needed; complete administrative tasks
*Ensure health & safety risks are addressed
*Identify problems proactively; act immediately
*Maintain calm and professional demeanor
*Ensure Staff Schedule is complete in absence of Director
*Licensing reports and renewal
*Understand OCFS Regulations; update profile
*Achieve and maintain Accreditation Status
*Ensure summer and field trip procedures are followed
*Ensure van/buses are in good repair; maintain paperwork
*Monitor children's files including accident/incident reports
*Ensure DSS policies are adhered to without exception
*Ensure class lists and projections are current and accurate
*Ensure classrooms have posted lesson plans and schedules and that they are being adhered to
*Routinely visit classrooms
*Ensure Writing Without Tears & The Abeka Curriculum is being used

*Command staff respect and confidence
*Influence, motivate and guide staff's efforts
*Maintain open communication
*Delegate tasks effectively
*Implement procedures for corrective action plan
*Recruit, interview, and hire staff to maintain proper ratios
*Maintain personnel records as required and ensure confidentiality

*Ensure Center's appearance is impeccable, inspiring, and aligned with mission and core values
*Ensure educational programs are well implemented
*Organize field trips
*Ensure facilities are always 'Tour Ready'; schedule tours
*Complete weekly marketing efforts based on current and projected openings
*Maintain 85% occupancy rate
*New Parent orientation; paperwork

*Conduct staff training
*Responsible for Health & Safety compliance & paperwork
*Coordinate with state for child abuse/maltreatment
*Report communicable disease exposures
*Maintain emergency plan
*Maintain building; conduct daily safety checks
