A Wealth Client Consultant's primary objective is new business development. In this role, you will proactively engage and generate new Wealth client relationships through outreach to existing Citizens customers. Nurturing those relationships from the first time you reach out and, in every follow-up, will uncover lending and investment opportunities. When talking with prospective clients, Wealth Client Consultants use their discovery skills to identify client needs, with the goal of referring that prospective client or business opportunity to the appropriate business partner(s). Another aspect of this role is working together with internal and external partners to build awareness of Citizens' wealth management capabilities.
Use Smart Lead data intelligence to prepare to articulate our value proposition
Understand and establish client profiles to uncover opportunities for broadening Citizens' position
Contact prospects perform needs analysis with the goal of acquiring an investment relationship
Identify issues and opportunities via financial planning process and use of discovery planning tools
Transition prospects seamlessly from initial outreach to warm leads for partners
Use CRM tool to detail client interactions/prospecting activities
Build an activity-based business development plan centered around proactive outreach and follow-up behaviors
You are required to hold at least one of the following licenses: FINRA Series 6 (or 7) , 65 (or 66) or Life and Health Insurance license. Fully licensed is preferred and any required licenses must be obtained within a specified timeframe upon hire
Familiarity with sales of banking products and lending services (required)
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or 3-5 years relevant equivalent experience
Experience with investment product referrals and sales (preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to consistently maintain heavy proactive outbound sales activity
Able to establish successful interpersonal relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners
Able to work in a collaborative, team environment
Record of identifying and transitioning high-quality introductions
Experience identifying and uncovering explicit and implicit investment opportunities
Experience in the financial planning discovery process and planning based planning tools
Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements to ensure a sound control environment
