Job TitleTravel + Leisure Social Media Intern Job Description About the DDM Summer Internship Program: The Dotdash Meredith Summer Internship Program is a 10 week full time program that runs from June 12th through August 18th, based out of our New York or Des Moines office depending on the team. The intern program consists of hands-on learning, opportunities to create work that has an impact on the business, along with workshops in preparing you for post-college life (resume / interviewing) plus, some fun events throughout the summer! About the Team: The Travel + Leisure social media team is responsible for audience development and growth across all social channels and emerging platforms. The social editors strategically promote site content on platforms like Facebook and Instagram to drive clicks to travelandleisure.com and help the team achieve its traffic goals. Other responsibilities include: working with contributors to create video content that drives engagement across platforms, formulating promotion plans for all major brand initiatives, and reporting on data to help inform the overall editorial strategy. About the Role: The T+L Social Media Intern will work closely with the Social Media Editor and Assistant Social Media Editor to grow the brand's overall social presence and drive traffic and engagement. Responsibilities will include: * Strategically programing content across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and more * Reporting on success metrics for all social channels to ensure we're on track to goal * Aiding in ideation and production of short-form video content * Assisting in promotion of brand moments and feature packages * Executing on sold campaigns About You: The person in this role should be excited about the ever-changing world of social media. Social best practices change day-to-day as trends evolve and algorithms shift, so this person will need to be adaptable and able to pivot at a moment's notice. Data and analytics is also a significant part of working in social, so this person should be ready to dig into the numbers. This person should be tapped into the latest social trends, such as what new features Instagram is rolling out and what's trending on TikTok, and be eager to create content themselves, whether that's a short-form travel vlog or a pack-with-me Instagram takeover. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees.
