Job TitleVerywell Mind Editorial Intern Job Description About the DDM Summer Internship Program: The Dotdash Meredith Summer Internship Program is a 10 week full time program that runs from June 12th through August 18th, based out of our New York or Des Moines office depending on the team. The intern program consists of hands-on learning, opportunities to create work that has an impact on the business, along with workshops in preparing you for post-college life (resume / interviewing) plus, some fun events throughout the summer! About the Team: Verywell Mind is an award-winning educational mental health website that prioritizes authoritative and scientifically accurate information while maintaining a personal, compassionate voice. Each month we help more than 7 million people in their efforts to prioritize their mental health and find balance in their lives. The Verywell Mind editorial team is in charge of curating, assigning, editing, and writing articles on a broad array of psychology topics. And we couldn't do it without the support of our review board of certified physicians and mental health experts. Our mission is to help people feel better about themselves while reducing the stigma surrounding mental health. About Your Role This role will be working primarily on trending and news content production, below are some of your key responsibilities. Sourcing and briefing mental health adjacent news stories for writers to cover Editing and publishing articles-mostly news and trending topics Writing articles as needed and as desired given bandwidth Helping with the assignment process Helping with update projects for both evergreen and news articles to boost performance Working with our visual asset team to create visuals for new and priority content Collaborating with other Verywell/Dotdash teams including design, product, email, social, video, commerce, etc. Providing support for other high-priority content projects as they arise About You Currently pursuing your Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, psychology, and or publishing Are eager to contribute to the ongoing conversation around the importance of mental health, excited to investigate new research and treatments, and also unpack trends and current events pertaining to mental and emotional well-being. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees.
