Arc Herkimer Food Preparation Worker in Little Falls, New York

Arc Herkimer is looking for a Food Preparation Worker. The Food Preparation Worker will ensure all foods are ready to be cooked as ordered and perform routine tasks under the direction of the Head Chef at the MV Golf and Event Center. 

Part time/ Seasonal, with possibility of work during the off season.

Rate of pay: $16/hr

Job Duties:

  • Prepare fruits, vegetables, meats, doughs, marinades and seasonings for the chefs in advance of daily peak hours.

  • Sanitize all kitchen surfaces, tools, utensils, and wash food prior to food preparation.

  • *Document items pulled from storage into preparation area, detailing and foods and/or liquids that end up in waste.

  • Follow the instruction of the Head Chef as to the use of leftover food items prepared in excess of daily requirements.

  • Coordinate with wait staff to determine diner volumes to anticipate if more food prep work needs to be completed.

  • Assist with preparation of dishes as needed.

  • Adhere to cleaning and equipment breakdown schedules and preparing items for special orders.

  • Ability to have a flexible schedule.

  • Undertake other duties, responsibilities, and projects as may be required by supervisor.

Position requirements: 

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.

  • Food experience of one year preferred.
