Who we?re looking for?
RWS Entertainment Group is currently seeking a Director of Creative Media and Technology Development to join our team of world-class designers and production staff.
About the role?
Reporting to the VP of Design, the Director of Creative Media and Technology Development will ideate and execute new, non-traditional technology and media initiatives. They will develop, provide roll out plan, and contract partners to execute a new robust digital media presence for RWS.
Develop and implement the technology and artistic approaches for new and existing RWS endeavors.
Guide and manage the development of website, app and virtually enhanced experiences in conjunction with our advertising agency, public relations firm, design and production teams.
Develop storyline, overall approach and timeline for execution for all digital experience proposal and events.
Guide artistic viewpoint, storytelling and installation/implementation for all digital experiences.
Work with directors, designers and production management to coordinate the execution plan for each project.
Oversee the research, hiring and coordination of design needs between outsourced designers, vendors and talent.
Liaise and negotiate with current and potential vendors/partners to ensure that items/services sourced are cost effective and robust.
Develop and manage budgets and expense reports, ensuring deliverables remain within budgetary guidelines, as per allocated days, supplies, and materials.
Manage and assist with existing office software infrastructure and training.
Provide leadership and training to company staff on each new initiative.

What you bring?
At Minimum, a Bachelors degree in computer science, computer technology, user experience design or at least 5 years comparable professional experience.
Curiosity and passion for continually refreshing knowledge & skillset.
A visible track record of providing interesting, innovative and creative solutions to website, app, gaming and technology development.
A proven ability to design and implement digital interactions that enhance customer/user experience and provide insights for clients.
Advanced experience in software engineering, 3D modeling, projection mapping with natural talent for user experience and media driven audience engagement.
A strong passion and talent for crafting ideas into complete functional effective and elegant user experiences.
The ability to meet deadlines, sometimes with narrow time and budget constraints, offering analysis and decisiveness when making decisions.
The ability to negotiate with vendors and discover creative solutions to keep projects on target and within budget parameters.
Demonstrated strategic, critical thinking and problem-solving skills which exemplify the ability to identify issues or challenges and find a reasonable solution.
Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, calmly and effectively execute under tight deadlines, manage multiple projects, work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and meet timelines on large projects from inception through completion.
Strong verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse personalities and quickly develop trusting, productive relationships with clients, vendors, staff and all partners.
Willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and get into the details as a team player with a "get things done" proactive attitude.
Loyalty, integrity, and self-motivation with the ability to work independently.
A strong network of professionals in corporate event, retail, filmmaking, theme park and cruise ship industries a plus.
