For over 50 years, Phoenix Houses of NY| LI has helped thousands of people overcome addiction to lead healthy, productive, and rewarding lives. The summer internship program provides college students who have an interest in healthcare, public health, or social services the opportunity to learn about the responsibilities, challenges, and skills involved in the day-to-day management of healthcare and residential facilities while contributing to real-life projects.We are looking for a dynamic, energetic intern who is eager to learn about our company by assisting various departments (i.e., Finance, HR, IT, Admissions, Nursing, Executive Office, etc .). You will be working closely with our team to conduct research, capture and enter data, assist with projects, and attend meetings where you will be asked to take minutes and other administrative duties.

To be successful as an Intern, you should be willing to help with any tasks assigned by a supervisor. You will be involved in upcoming projects as well as assisting with current campaigns.

Details:

  • Internship will be eight (8) weeks, from (June 04, 2024 - July 29, 2024)

  • Schedule: Varies, 20 to 30/ hours a week

Qualifications

Intern Responsibilities:

  • Fulfilling tasks set out by supervisors from several departments.

  • Attending meetings and taking minutes.

  • Performing research at a supervisor's request.

  • Researching and assisting with various projects

  • Updating social media platforms.

  • Clerical tasks such as (Filing, copying, data entry, organizing, etc.)

  • Other duties as assigned.

Intern Requirements:

  • A student or recent graduate. (High School or College)

  • Have an academic record of 2.80 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale.

  • Eager to learn and work with various departments in the company.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to multitask.

  • Cope well under pressure.
