USIC Training & Development Leader in Long Island, New York

JOB SUMMARY: The training & development leader position is a natural stepping stone to a great career at USIC! Many training & development leaders have been promoted to become operation managers, training managers, and district managers.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The training & development leader is responsible for performing a broad range of duties and works closely with field leadership. Duties include:

Living the SAFE-LIFE and leading by example

Coordinating with field leadership

Planning and executing new hire training

Scheduling

Classroom setup

Training

Ops Trainer mentoring and coaching

Documentation

Developing and executing emergency response training

Implementing best practices and SAFE-LIFE concepts to drive safety, quality, and training improvements

Assisting safety case management (tactical support for injuries)

Assisting EHS incident investigation root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action planning

Supporting district quality field audits and ride alongs

Participating in quality teams where targeted efforts are needed

Leading compliance processes such as Safety and Operator Qualification

Providing tactical support for start ups

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to travel 25% (up to 50% during peak training season)

Able to work with all levels of management and customers

Ability to manage and prioritize simultaneous activities

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated self-starter with the ability and desire to take initiative

Ability to build rapport with team members and to collaborate on project completion

Prior experience in the locating industry REQUIRED

Previous supervisory, training, safety/EHS experience preferred

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate s or Bachelor s degree preferred
