The Department of Athletics seeks an Associate Athletics Director for External Operations. Reporting to the Vice President/ Athletic Director, the Associate Athletics Director for External Operations will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of various external units: communications, marketing, development, and fan relations and supervise the department's multi-media rights and ticketing partners. The Associate Athletic Director is responsible for leading all areas to facilitate growth in collaborative manner, increase revenue by developing partnerships, crafting marketing plans and strategies that will promote Siena and its athletic programs.
Lead all aspects of the external operations units?marketing, communications, development, licensing, ticket sales-- in developing an integrated plan that promotes Siena's message, it's teams, and supports all sales efforts and fund development.
Serve as the primary department liaison to Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment regarding multi-media rights, setting revenue goals and sponsorship coordination
Lead the Fan Relations Management Center and liaison with Aspire to grow all ticket sales and plan event activation to enhance the fan experience.
Lead the department's marketing and communications strategy
Collaborate with the college marketing and communications
Lead the department Saints Alive! Athletic Fund to increase both annual giving and major gifts. The Associate Athletic Director will have a fundraising metric set by the Vice President/Director of Athletics this is commiserate with their experience and compensation. Create and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies as directed by the Vice President/Director.
Collaborate with fundraising colleagues across campus while building and maintaining donor relationships in support of the Department of Athletics mission. Prepare key administrative leaders; coaches and volunteers to interact with prospects and donors.
A Bachelor's Degree and three or more years of relevant experience are required. Candidates must possess a valid NYS driver's license and insurability at the time of appointment and must maintain such license and insurability throughout the tenure of employment.
A background screening will be required.
