Siena College Athletic Communications Assistant in Loudonville, New York

Siena College has an immediate opening for the full-time, 12-month position of athletic communications assistant. Siena College is located in Loudonville, NY just two miles north of Albany, the state capital. The College is a member of the NCAA and supports 21 Division I athletic programs which compete in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Duties include serving as the primary media contact for assigned sports, writing, designing and layout of department publications, managing and updating the department website In addition, this position will be playing a leadership role with new and social media initiatives, recruiting, training, and scheduling the athletic communications department's student workforce, and assisting in the communications, media relations and community and promotional initiatives of the department along with other duties as assigned.

Annual Salary: $58,500.00

Job Requirements:

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, knowledge of and experience working with statistical software (StatCrew), Adobe Photoshop, website editing, and previous experience working in collegiate athletics is strongly preferred. The position requires strict adherence to deadlines, travel with select athletic teams, and a flexible work schedule. Candidates must possess a valid NYS driver's license and insurability at the time of appointment and must maintain such license and insurability throughout the tenure of employment.

A background screening will be required.
