Siena College Carpenter in Loudonville, New York

This position performs residential and commercial carpentry and is responsible of various levels of construction, renovations and maintenance of building envelopes, structural elements and interior elements including walls, ceilings, paint, roofs, windows, doors, glass, floors and masonry. This work is identified and maintained through our work order system and PM program. Also, installs and repairs woodwork, glazing, hardware, cabinetry and other building components. Works as a member of a versatile team performing office and lab fit up, structural and finish system maintenance, renovations and minor construction projects and helps ensure work complies with state and local building codes. Also assists other trades with repair and maintenance work. Requires working with sharp or rough materials, sharp tools and power equipment. Valid NYS license required.

Job Requirements:

A high school diploma (or the equivalent) or trade school diploma is required. At least 3 years general carpentry experience is required. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and insurability at the time of appointment and must maintain such license and insurability throughout the tenure of employment. Candidates must be willing to be certified in Aerial lift equipment, fork lift and similar facilities equipment.

A background screening will be required.
