GlobalFoundries Learning & Development HR Intern in Malta, New York

The GlobalFoundries Human Resources Development Program offers an exciting, 12-week summer internship designed to develop top Master's students into high-performing HR professionals and exceptional leaders who will make an impact on the future of Semiconductor manufacturing. Interns will gain an understanding of the broad scope of GF's business and HR Operating model through a focused, specialized project where they will dive deep into their HR sub-function and deliver a high-impact assignment to the business. This role is focused in Learning & Development. The GlobalFoundries Human Resources Development Program offers an exciting, 12-week summer internship designed to develop top Master's students into high-performing HR professionals and exceptional leaders who will make an impact on the future of Semiconductor manufacturing. Interns will gain an understanding of the broad scope of GF's business and HR Operating model through a focused, specialized project where they will dive deep into their HR sub-function and deliver a high-impact assignment to the business. The internship consists of twelve weeks, with learning and connecting within the GF HR field and cross-functionally. Interns will learn about key business functions, units and HR areas from senior leaders. HR interns will have opportunities to connect with and learn from the broader HR group, network & partner with various functions and tour GF facilities. This internship will enhance personal career development through direct senior leadership engagement, formal and informal feedback and mentoring and formal training and development. Internship Opportunities • Cross- functional engagement across the HR function via stretch projects & mentoring • Meet with HR and Business Leadership • Regular learning and social events designed to connect interns working across different functional areas throughout GF • Challenging assignments in a variety of HR functions • Exposure to and mentoring from Senior HR leaders within GF HR organization • Specific executive presence development during end-of-summer presentations to senior HR leaders from across the company • Formal leadership training and foundational development (i.e. leadership workshops and trainings, ongoing feedback, presentation skill builders, etc.) • Ongoing feedback from you on ways to help you grow professionally Essential Responsibilities: • Create new, impactful employee training on a variety of leadership & professional development topics • Support deployment of high-priority training projects, including the GF Apprenticeship Program, Global Mentoring Program, and other Learning & Development offerings • Lead a variety of global L&D initiatives, such as the annual flagship global development event • Provide detailed reporting, insights and feedback to the GF HR team • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs Qualifications - External Required Qualifications: • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a field of Media, Communications, Business or Human Resources. • Language Fluency: English (Written & Verbal) Preferred Qualifications: • Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity. • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong audio/visual production skills • Strong planning & organizational skills • Background & experience with graphic communications, instructional design • Ability to collaborate & manage relationships with multiple stakeholders on a global scale • Ability to think creatively & outside the box Expected Salary Range The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
