**Internship Program Overview:**

Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with a meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation. **Summary of Role:**

GLOBALFOUNDRIES has an Internship Position available at the Malta, NY site for a Production Control Engineer intern. As a member of the Production Control team, you will be working on projects that enable solutions driving towards delivering New Product Introduction initiatives at aggressive delivery commits. This role will provide insight into the business processes that are involved in securing future business for the fab and the close-knit coordination between Customer Engineering, Integration, Planning and Line control to ensure successful New Product Introduction in a timely manner.

This position is for a candidate that will graduate and be ready to enter the workforce within the next year. This candidate must be enrolled in a BS/MS in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science / Data Science, or other relevant engineering discipline.

**Essential Responsibilities include:**

- Leading improvement projects
- Working on a diverse team in a manufacturing environment
- Working in a dynamic collaborative environment requiring strong teaming skills with engineers, managers, technicians, and production employee


**Other Responsibilities:**

- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.


**Required Qualifications:**

- Strong Academic Standing
- Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
- Experience with Microsoft/Google collaboration tools such as Microsoft 365 and Google scripting
- Self-motivated; able to take ownership of assignments, develop work plans and proactively seek feedback to ensure objectives are aligned and met
- Team player; able to succeed in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Education - Actively pursuing a BS/MS in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science / Data Science or other relevant engineering discipline or related field.
- Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.


**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Semiconductor Process Technology courses / experience
- Experience implementing productivity/efficiency improvements and working knowledge factory automation
- IT skills to support data analysis and reporting
- Experience with Lean methodologies
- Project management skills
- Prior related internship or co-op experience
- Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning & organizational skills
