Urgently looking for Marine Mechanics!

Location: Mamaroneck, NY

Pay: $28 - $39

Shift: 7am - 4:30pm

Job Description

We are seeking a Marine Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, engine rebuilds, and machining work. You will also be required to perform wiring and soldering when necessary, reposition equipment, tools, and materials with machine aid, and operate basic boat operations. Your primary goal will be getting the customer back on the water with a safe operating boat by performing maintenance and repairs safely and quickly. In addition to this, you will assist our service teams with various tasks such as shrink wrapping and repositioning boats.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Mamaroneck, New York.

Work Environment

You will be working in our boatyard alongside a team of almost 12 employees, all mechanics or yard workers. Your work hours will be Monday - Friday from 7:30AM - 4:00PM. During the summer months, you will be required to work 6 days a week: Monday - Saturday due to the extensive work that needs to be accomplished on the boats during the height of the season. Dress code is casual: shorts are acceptable in summer/hotter months; jeans/dickies during the colder months are acceptable as well. Sneakers or work boots are acceptable along with a t-shirt
