Planned Parenthood of Greater New York Adult Role Model Coordinator in Manhattan, New York

When you join PPGNY as an Adult Role Model Coordinator you will be responsible for managing the Adult Role Models (ARM) program and providing educational programs to adults in the New York City community. (Adult Role Models are parents hired and trained by PPGNY to facilitate workshops to help other parents talk with their children about sexuality)
Additional responsibilities include:
Coordinate and schedule parent education workshops, community outreach
Monitor programmatic deliverables, grant reporting requirements, etc.
Manage and Update workshop materials and ARM curriculum as needed
Collaborate with Research and Evaluation team and partner representatives to implement appropriate evaluation measures for each project.
Collects data and evaluations from workshop and training participants; compiles appropriately and submits to Research and Evaluation team.
Manages program budget and other fiscal responsibilities, i.e. check requests, reconciliations, budget tracker, supply ordering, etc.
Coordinates for cross-program initiatives (organizing special events, creating printed materials, developing new educational content etc.) to provide education to caregivers and adults.
Develops and maintains relationships with community leaders and organizations to promote the ARM program and PPGNY services, and to promote sexual and reproductive health in NYC communities.
Conducts outreach to local schools and community-based organizations in catchment areas to promote PPGNY services and offerings.
Organizes targeted outreach to specific communities in our catchment areas to ensure they receive accessible educational workshops
Hire, supervise, train, support, observe, and develop ARM educators, to ensure all members are well equipped to deliver high-quality programming.
Provide coaching and feedback during regular check-ins, annual performance reviews, etc.
You have:
Requires Bachelor's degree in education, communication, social work, public health, or related field
2+ years of experience with administrative management, supervision and training facilitation
Extensive experience with communities impacted by adverse health outcomes, knowledge systemic barriers to sexual reproductive health and wellbeing faced by marginalized communities especially women, LGBTQ, poor/working class and communities of color
Experienced in conducting/coordinating presentations with community partners
Experience building partnerships with schools, CBOs and other stakeholders
Experience in working with diverse population and knowledge of sexual and reproductive health
Flexible schedule
Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.

Compensation:
- $55,000- 61,000 yearly

Identify professional development opportunities and goals with ARM team members.
Provide information about community trends and possible barriers that the team may confront in the field.
Stays current on research related to sexuality and reproductive health, and adult education with an emphasis on parenting and caregiver related topics

All positions at PPGNY require:
Proof of immunization or immunity to certain communicable diseases (including influenza during the flu season and Covid-19) and testing for tuberculosis. These certifications are required by the NYC DOHMH Health Code, NYSDOH and OSHA.
