Picture yourself here: When you join PPGNY as an Associate Vice President of Clinical Services. The Associate Vice President (VP) of Clinical Services is a Planned Parenthood of Greater New York (PPGNY) advanced practice clinician (APC) responsible for supporting PPGNY clinical staff in the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care. Under the leadership of the VP of Clinical Services, the AVP provides oversight of the supervision of PPGNY APCs, and directly supervises and mentors the PPGNY Telehealth APCs. The AVP oversees and participates in APC training and development, and participates in the training and education of clinical staff of all levels. Working cross-departmentally, the AVP contributes to the ongoing enhancement of clinical quality, safety, equity and experience at PPGNY. The AVP provides direct patient care. As one of the most senior APCs at PPGNY, the AVP leads by example to model the highest level of clinical quality, expertise, and patient experience. This full-time position is located in any PPGNY region and involves 20% travel to other parts of NYS.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Bachelor/Master’s approved program in one of the following: Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Midwifery, or Certified Midwifery; Master's
Appropriate board or national certifications
Current BLS certification
Active NY State licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse, Physician Assistant, or Certified Midwife
A minimum of five years of clinical practice experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse, Physician Assistant, or Certified Midwife
Work experience in an ambulatory care practice with experience in and broad knowledge of family planning including abortion, STIs and male examinations
Three years managing direct reports in a clinical setting
Experience managing professional level staff in teams of more than 5 members

All positions at PPGNY require:
Proof of immunization or immunity to certain communicable diseases (including influenza during the flu season and Covid-19) and testing for tuberculosis. These certifications are required by the NYC DOHMH Health Code, NYSDOH and OSHA.
