Pfizer Inc. PGS Launch Excellence Summer Intern in Manhattan, New York

ROLE SUMMARY
Pfizer's Global Supply (PGS) Early Talent Program offers summer internships that cross over all facets of the business. Launch Excellence is a global function focused on Pfizer's new products, which include small molecules, large molecules, and gene therapies. The Launch Excellence Team partners with Pharmaceutical Sciences to bring new products through late stage clinical development, submit market applications, and seek approval from global health authorities. Our summer interns will work on challenging assignments and projects that will stimulate creative problem-solving and collaborative leadership, while contributing to the overall goal of bringing quality life-saving medicines to patients around the world. Individuals selected for these roles will join our teams in one of the following locations: Peapack, NJ, Kalamazoo, MI, St. Louis, MO, Andover, MA, Sanford, NC, Rocky Mount, NC, New York, NY.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Summer interns can expect the opportunity to apply knowledge and gain work experience within the Launch Excellence function that fits well with their field of study and interests. In addition to their assigned project, interns can expect opportunities to participate in group social and developmental learning activities throughout the summer. Core responsibilities are as follows:

Perform challenging and diverse assignments respective to the role and projects within their assigned area(s),

Participate in cross-functional teams to deliver objectives on time.

Participate in group meetings and interact directly with Launch Excellence colleagues in resolving challenges.

Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Completed sophomore year in a college or university studying applicable coursework in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial, biomedical), life sciences (chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology), supply chain, information technology or other field pertinent to the Launch Excellence assignment. Undergraduate and master students entering their senior year of study is preferred.

Strong academic performance (a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher is preferred)

Self-motivated, with the ability to be agile and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Strong interpersonal skills and proven track record of teamwork, innovation and initiative

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to quickly identify problems and create solutions

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Passion for learning and pursuing a career in the health care industry
