Working on projects related to improving SecOps capabilities for time-to-detection and time-to-remediation
Review, analyze and respond to security events triggered through automated security monitoring systems. Validate and track security breaches, along with threats to the firm's logical information, while still allowing for appropriate access. Coordinate responses to information security incidents. Work to reduce information security risks by successfully coordinating the information security processes across the vulnerability scanning, anomaly detection, intrusion detection, security policy and forensic functions.
Assist with the research, development, continuous improvement and implementation of security policies, procedures, standards and processes based on compliance requirements and industry standard methodologies. Detail the OTC information security requirements, processes and procedures. Implement information security policies and procedures by reviewing security violation reports, investigating possible security exceptions and detailing security controls.
Coordinate with cross discipline engineering and operations personnel (Network, Infrastructure, Applications, Development Teams) on Security related projects
Participate in the evaluation and selection of new technologies and solutions
Proactively identify the manual activities which can be automated to simplify the operational tasks.
Identify and generate metrics to measure Security controls effectiveness.
Provide guidance on building and/or maturing information security programs, responding to and remediating computer security incidents, and operation of tools and technologies used for enterprise security
Conduct real-time analysis using the SIEM, Endpoint and Network based technologies, and other security analytics tools with a focus on identifying security events and false positives
Nice to have Cyberark, Akamai and SIEM experience
An ability to work both autonomously, cooperatively, and remotely.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Security.
Background in Information Security theory and application
Experience with InfoSec frameworks and best practices
Experience with common tools: CMDB, vulnerability scanners, tcpdump/Wireshark, code scanners, systems life cycle management
Windows and Linux OS knowledge.
