Senior Manager, US Public Relations & Influencer Marketing, *Ultra Premium Fragrances, Gucci Beauty, OrvedaCOTY LUXURY, PR & INFLUENCER MARKETING - NY, NYCOTY is looking for smart leaders who are tenacious, passionate, and fearlessly kind.The Senior Manager, US Public Relations & Influencer Marketing, is responsible for assisting the Vice President, Senior Director, and Director in the development, management and execution of all US press and influencer marketing strategies for a portfolio of Ultra Premium brands to drive awareness, consideration and demand. This role's portfolio includes Gucci Beauty (designer fragrances and makeup), Orveda (luxury French bio-tech skincare) and COTY's most innovative and ambitious luxury fragrance project ever, Infiniment Coty, which was announced in May 2023 and is scheduled to launch in 2024. This unique position offers the opportunity to join Coty's "in-house agency" of highly-motivated communications professionals supporting the full Coty Luxury portfolio.The Senior Manager, US PR and Influencer Marketing, should be adept at prioritizing and overseeing multiple brands and projects in a fast-paced environment with an agile, problem-solving mindset. This position calls for an enthusiastic, creative thinker who collaborates well with team members and can maximize results with strategic thinking. This person should be tapped in culturally with experience creating strategic PR/IM plans, producing special events and leveraging talent and/or spokespeople.This individual must possess excellent editorial contacts and industry relationships across print and digital (broadcast/on-air experts a plus) and must be passionate about continuing to foster and grow their network. The right candidate should be a strong presenter, have excellent writing and story-development skills, the ability to effectively communicate results and have a genuine passion for building brands. Experience managing and mentoring a team is essential, as respect and autonomy are highly-valued.The Senior Manager, US PR and Influencer Marketing, will report into the Senior Director, US PR & IM, and work closely with other members of the Luxury PR & IM department, including a Director, a Manager, two Assistant Managers and Coordinators. This role will be expected to work closely and build strong business relationships with cross-functional teams (based in New York and Paris), including US marketing, Global PR & IM, US media, e-comm, education and corporate communications.[TABLE]In this role you will be responsible for:PUBLIC RELATIONS STRATEGY:- Adapt and execute Global PR plans and platforms to support Coty Luxury PR Strategy in the US for a portfolio of Coty Luxury brands (Ultra Premium Fragrances, Gucci Beauty, Orveda)- Proactively originate local PR plans and initiatives to meet the unique needs of the US market- Ensure that journalists receive timely and usable assets and content to secure significant press behind brands across all media types- Originate and propose dynamic pitching strategy for all initiatives to be submitted and approved by global/license- Talent and licensor relations in partnership with global team/where applicable- Pitch in-depth feature stories in strategic press outlets leveraging brand talent/spokespeople, perfumers, R&D, etc.- Ensure excellence and attention-to-detail in end-to-end planning, execution and measurement of efforts- Cultivate and manage key industry relationships- Liaise with the US Marketing and media teams to ensure that communications are synergistic with local marketing campaigns and leverage advertising buys- Liaise with local fashion houses to obtain alignment and approval on local PR strategies, and ensure synergy between fashion/beauty initiatives- Lead cross-portfolio seasonal pitching efforts with team's support to maximize exposure during key selling periods (holiday, Mother's Day, summer, etc.)INFLUENCER MARKETING STRATEGY- Adapt and execute Global IM plans to support Coty Luxury IM Strategies in the US- Proactively originate local IM plans and initiatives, when necessary, to meet the unique needs of the US market- Supplement marketing strategies with targeted local influencer and VIP support during key consumption periods, partnering with the ecomm team to drive traffic and conversion to retail.com/DTC, whenever possible- Oversee the partner identification, approvals, contract negotiations and execution of all US IM initiatives- Identify and manage external agencies when relevant- Support team in analyzing, reporting and sharing internally digital best practices as it relates to IM content- Work with marketing, media and digital partners to ensure media boosting support for best-in-class IM content- Review/advise/approve media plans and tactics related to IM initiatives- Liaise directly with retailers to develop retailer-specific IM support strategies and synergies, when relevantEVENTS- - - Manage high-profile local PR/VIP events (parties, dinners, masterclasses, sponsorships) to introduce the brand and/or new products to key editors, influencers, VIPs, and consumers - Work with Global teams to support US brand ambassador personal appearances and other activities, such as in-store events, national broadcast appearances, interview sessions for US media - Adapt Global guidelines for local execution, and oversee production and implementation of events - Serve as sole Coty representative at high-profile Global events when neededDEPARTMENTAL/CROSS-PORTFOLIO INITIATIVES- Support full team by spearheading "special projects" in order to benefit full Luxury portfolio- Recommend new ways to track and analyze PR/IM results and leverage best practices within organization- Lead support strategy and execution of high-profile industry awards and events (i.e. Fragrance Foundation Awards)- Identify opportunities to leverage PR/Influencer content cross-functionally and across a variety of touchpoints (media, retailer.com, education, POS)- Liaise with cross-functional partners to drive 360 media programs that incorporate earned media, owned media, influencer, digital and experiential elements- Identify new platforms and services to reach new audiences, attract consumers and drive awareness and engagementMANAGEMENT- Manage and mentor Assistant Managers and Coordinators and provide stretch tasks, motivational leadership and opportunities for internal visibility- Manage external agencies (project-basis only) and other vendors, when relevantBRAND BUDGETS- Forecast, manage and reconcile brand budgets, planning and prioritizing appropriate activations for earned and amplified media- Maximize ROI by aligning with US portfolio strategy to appropriately support key brands and initiatives[TABLE]We'd love to see candidates who have:Essential: - 4-year Undergraduate Degree in Communications or Related Field- 7-10 years of Public Relations and/or Influencer Marketing experience- Strong beauty editorial relationships- PR agency experience- Located in the NYC Tri-State area and willing to commute to NYC office, in line with Coty's hybrid omni-working policyDesirable: -
